APC members in working groups
The Working Group on Internet Governance (WGIG) announced by UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan will prepare the ground for action on spam, cyber-security and other internet-related issues by the second phase of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) to be held in November 2005 in Tunis.
Karen Banks, APC's networking and advocacy coordinator and Carlos Afonso of APC member in Brazil, RITS are among the forty experts in the WGIG. Anriette Esterhuysen, executive director of APC, was selected as a member of the WSIS Working Group on Financing and will be represented by APC’s new policy manager, Willie Currie.
