INNOVATION, INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & PUBLIC BROADCASTING
The Creative Commons:
intellectual property & public broadcasting & opportunities for common sense & public good
Recent technological advances such as the internet are fundamentally reshaping the way in which we relate to each other. They are also changing the distinctions between public and private realms and by implication the way media works. In light of these advances, what are the challenges for public broadcasting? What role should organisations such as SBS and the ABC have in shaping Australia's culture? Do we need a radical change to our media ownership laws and regulations?
