Transformations
CANBERRA -- The Australia Council for the Arts, the Federation of Ethnic Communities Councils of Australia and the Australian National University are co-convening the Transformations conference in Canberra from 7- 9 February 2005.
Transformations will analyse the UNESCO Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity and recent UN documents to determine what they mean for future diversity planning, policies and programs across Australia's government, tertiary, business and community sectors.
It will provide an opportunity for people interested in the vital issues of cultural diversity to come together with government agencies, the community sector, business and leading academics to discuss where Australia must focus its attention to maintain its place as an international model of multicultural cooperation and understanding.
Call for Papers
Transformations is currently calling for conference papers and case studies.
These can cover best practice examples, research and development, partnerships or other cross cultural issues.
You are invited to submit a 300-word abstract by 1 November 2004 at www.fecca.org.au/transformations.html
